Casey Burns / Art Director

Volvo

I joined the Volvo team at Grey New York and tackled an avalanche of social and banner assignments, OOH billboards, broadcast end-cards, and print mailers.

It turned out to be an incredible opportunity for me to immerse myself in an automotive account for the first time and research a legendary brand like Volvo and the people who drive their cars.

Did you know that the name Volvo means “I roll” in Latin?

Ever heard of Nils Bohlin? He’s the Volvo engineer who invented the V-type three-point safety belt in 1959, and saw his innovation through to universal adoption across the motor industry. His cross-strap design made seat belts easier to use, and much safer too.

It’s no wonder Volvo’s name is synonymous with safety.
